Triple Z Music’s Recording Adventure Workshop on WNBC4

Paul Guzzone and Triple Z Music’s Recording Adventure Workshop was featured on the WNBC4 News segment “Wednesday’s Child.”

“Wednesday’s Child,” hosted by meteorologist Janice Huff, profiles New York area children who are available for adoption with the goal of placing them in permanent homes. This edition features Roberto, a 15-year-old whose interests run from gymnastics to rap and recording. Roberto spent a morning at the Triple Z studio where he recorded some of his original material pausing for an on-camera chat with Janice Huff. In a special one-on-one workshop with music producer and Triple Z co-owner Paul Guzzone, Roberto refined his lyrics and learned some recording techniques. He left with a professionally recorded CD of his rap tune and some new beats for future inspiration.

Triple Z became involved in the program when the “Wednesday’s Child” coordinator found a listing for the Recording Adventure Workshop on GoCityKids and called to request a private session for Roberto. Paul Guzzone and Mary Ellen Bernard, husband-and-wife owners of the boutique music production company, were happy to oblige.

The Recording Adventure Workshop offers small-group sessions for teenagers interested in the recording process either as musician, producer/engineer or both. Led by Paul Guzzone the workshops give 12-to-16 year-olds their first recording studio experience in a friendly and professional environment at the Triple Z recording studio in Brooklyn’s Dumbo area.

Paul Guzzone is an Adjunct Professor at Pace University where he has taught courses on popular music, sound recording, and the entertainment business. His producing, mixing, and engineering credits include albums by the Bacon Brothers, Aztec Two-Step, and numerous indie artists, plus the New York Times bestselling book/CD Philadelphia Chickens by Sandra Boynton. He has also written countless commercial jingles including spots for Trident, Folgers, and Dannon and custom music for corporations such as Xerox, IBM, and Toyota.
